Documenting graph theory research across India

Researchers, publications, and institutions — indexed from open scholarly sources.

Why this directory exists

Graph theory researchers in India are scattered across OpenAlex profiles, ORCID records, and individual institutional pages. This portal consolidates that public information into one searchable, citable index — so collaborators, students, and journalists can find the people working on the field without piecing fragments together by hand.

We are not a journal, an evaluator, or a research funder. We curate publicly available metadata so it can be searched and credited. Rankings on this site reflect publicly reported metrics — h-index, citation count, publication count — calculated by OpenAlex. They are not an editorial judgement of researcher quality.

The exact methods we use, the limitations we acknowledge, and the refresh cadence are documented in our methodology.

What we index

Four entity types, each sourced directly from open scholarly data.

  • Researcher discovery

Automated indexing of authors with at least one publication tagged to graph theory or an adjacent field, affiliated with an Indian institution.

  • Publication records

Per-researcher publication lists pulled directly from OpenAlex, with DOIs, journal titles, citation counts, and links back to upstream pages.

  • Institution rosters

Each indexed institution's roster of graph theory researchers, ranked by editorial order or by h-index, citations, or publication count.

  • Verified provenance

Every researcher row links to their OpenAlex author page; ORCID iDs link to the public ORCID record so readers can verify identity at the source.

Where the data comes from

Two open scholarly sources, refreshed monthly. We do not scrape Google Scholar, ResearchGate, or any platform whose terms of service prohibit automated access. No proprietary data is involved at any step.

OpenAlex

A CC0-licensed open index of scholarly works maintained by OurResearch. We use it for author profiles, affiliation history, citation counts, h-index, and the per-researcher publication list.

ORCID

Researcher-curated identifiers and biographical information from ORCID. For researchers with an ORCID iD, we enrich the record with biography, employment history, education, awards, and memberships from their public ORCID profile.

Who maintains this

Graph Theory Portal is maintained by an editorial team that curates keyword mappings, reviews flagged issues, and keeps the data refresh cadence on track. We don't conduct or peer-review research; our role is curatorial.

What we don't claim

Being explicit about scope is part of being trustworthy. The portal is honest about what it is — and what it isn't.

  • We do not peer-review research. The publications we list are sourced from OpenAlex; we do not vet venue quality, novelty, or correctness.
  • We do not rate researchers. Rankings reflect public metrics (h-index, citations, publication count) calculated by OpenAlex, not editorial judgement.
  • We do not verify employment claims. Affiliations come from OpenAlex's automated institutional matching, which can mis-attribute. Use ORCID for self-reported employment history.
  • We do not guarantee completeness. Researchers without an OpenAlex profile, or whose publications aren't indexed there, are not in this directory.
  • Errors are possible. If you spot an issue, please contact us — we typically respond within two business days.
